Some say that the quality of Microsoft Mobile OS has become lower and lower in recent years from Windows 7 to this day, while some say the support on processing power has made the OS quality dwindle.

Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary update has been available to Insiders to beta test Months before it was released to the public, but, weeks after its release not every Windows Mobile device have received it over-the-air and now the Vaio Phone Biz has it confirmed on its official website that the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update has been postponed due to Continuum not working with displays of “specific resolutions”.

Although there isn't any official statement that relates these bug to its chipset we have notice complaints from users of device that runs on Snapdragon 617 ( like the MCJ Madosma Q601 and NuAns NEO ) about continuum.

Below is the statement on Vaio official website (Translated);

Thank you for your daily patronage of Vaio’s services. We will guide you about the postponement of the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update delivery in VAIO Phone Biz. Currently, we are preparing a Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update to VAIO Phone Biz, but a problem to which is one of the major features Continuum has been found to occur. Due to this, we will postpone the delivery of the Anniversary Update.[Issue contents]

  • After the Anniversary Update is applied, Continuum does not work in combination with the display of a specific resolution.

Towards the problem-solving, Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd., has been working in cooperation with Microsoft Corporation. But sorry for the inconvenience, please wait for a while now until the official launch.
